In my experience, you only get a prize if you do it in the context of
a tournament.  If you're just playing a round, all you get is bragging
rights.

Congratulations Tom!

I went golfing Sunday also, and I'm wondering where you live?
Florida?  SoCal?  It was 13 Celcius when I played today, and by the
beginning of the 5th hole my left hand was completely numb.  I had to
wrap the fingers of my left hand around the club with my right hand to
get a grip.  And after two days of heavy rain, the course was so soggy
that my drives just went as far as they went, airborn, and then went
"plunk!" and stayed where they landed.

I guess that's the end of golf season in the Pacific Northwest...
