Hey folks-- I know we've had a lot of issues lately with folks
misinterpreting the posting guidelines. So I've pasted the current
guidelines into a page, and I'm hoping to see what you folks can come
up with. (Maybe we should completely redo the format and turn it into
a strict list of Dos/Donts, for example).

That's a fair enough expression of your feelings, but perhaps you
could really help improve the posting guidelines a bit for yourself
and for others...

Did you not find the existing posting guidelines, or were they not
clear about how they might apply to the problem you had/have?

Did the posting guideline mislead you about how speedy, accurate or
complete the responses might be?  Should there be something in the
guidelines to warn you about whatever disappointed you?  Was there
something in the guidelines that could have helped avoid
disappointment if it were highlighted to you?

Is there anything specific that you should be added to the guidelines
to help new group users? Or to modify their expectations?

when somebody
signs up for a group it should be on the first message.
